Draft Beer Tap Conversion and Tap Tower Selection:
Our home bar plan membership will show you exactly how to build your own draft beer dispensing "Kegerator" built right into your home bar.
We show you how to properly construct the keg box, how to insulate it and how to build the refrigeration unit to keep your beer nice and cold.

The parts you can not build are the Draft Beer Tower, the CO2 gas regulator, which keeps your beer fresh for months if needed and the other associated draft beer dispensing equipment. The whole works will run about $250 with shipping.

These items are available from our partner site Kegworks.
But wait a minute before you run over there!
You'll need to know what to buy, and this part is a freebie.

First you must learn about the different types of keg taps available.
Each style is used for different types of beer products.

  • Sankey style tap: The most popular of the keg taps, made for
There are three basic ways you can approach this:
  • The REAL cheap way, a large bucket of ice with a hand pump tap kit.
  • The cheap way, which is a large bucket of ice with an economy CO2 pressurized
tap kit. The kit include an empty CO2 tank, dual gauge gas regulator and Sankey tap.

First, decide if you would simply like to convert and existing refrigerator to a draft beer dispensing unit. This can also be done with a freezer, which get's your beer colder but requires a special thermostat which plugs "in-line" with the freezer's power cord.
