So I am at the final stage of the bar, the bar top… I will need to have 3 separate pieces to complete the top. My plan to to use 3/4” oak plywood, then stain, seal.
My question/concern is the seam between the 3 pieces. I have read that you should plan for the wood to expand and contract due to relative humidity. That you should use dog bones and/or biscuits. I am stressed about making this last step…
Has anyone ever experienced movement of their oak plywood top?
Am I overthinking this? Would regular wood glue, wood filler and screwing up from the bottom be fine? Pictures available if needed.
