I’ve been planning a bar back for a while now and finally started building it a few weeks ago.

As you can see my plan is very different from the one in the Easy Home Bar Plans. I subscribed to this site to get an idea of what another bar back might look like. I like the Easy Home Bar Plan outlined in this website, but my bar back needed to have lots of storage space, middle shelves and some counter space so I went back to my design. I did incorporate those small shelves in the outside two columns into my plan though. I think thats a good idea for displaying premium and commemorative bottles.

The base part is 72″ long, 38″ high and 23.5″ deep. Basically 6x3x2 feet. The top part is 72″ long, 48″ high, and 12″ deep. Basically 6x4x1 feet.

It is being constructed from 3/4″ red oak plywood.

I outlined problems and recommendations in another post in this forum and recommend anyone who is planning to build a bar back read that first.

This is a view of the completed foundation from the bottom. Its standing on end on top of a piece of scrapwood thats laid flat on the floor. Notice the dark spots in the grain. This is from the “bad” face of the 4×8 red oak plywood. I mentioned those dark spots in another post.

This is me using the nailgun on one of the vertical supports. Mmmm…. nailgun…. don’t leave home without one.
