Has anyone tried using a 1.7 cubic foot fridge to make the kegger? It has rear coils, it is an older model. Having a hard time finding a new fridge with rear coils.

TLI would love to find out too! I am building the portable bar and I would like to have a small fridge there.
I used a 1.7 cu ft fridge I bought at home depot and it works just fine, but make sure you seal up around the fridge really well as the plans are set for a 2.7 cu ft fridge. My keg box stays around 33 with the fridge a little higher than medium.
Sears carries a 2.7 cu ft with coils on back. I bought mine yesterday for $99.99 on sale.
The Haier fridge specified in the kegger plans is on sale @ Wal-Mart for $79
