I would like to build an L shaped bar, but have the work area that is from the keggar. Can you recommend a starting point – whether to start with the L shaped base and use the keggar’s side frame design, or some other approach? Thanks.

        Hmmm..that’s a good one!

I would strat off by framing the L-shaped bar and leaving out the Beer Gutter. The odd frame near the center would need the front 2×4 shortened to about 27″, but keep the general configuration of that leg with the top horizontal at about 27″.

The top would have to be “stepped” back 12″, then frame up the lower work area similarly to the Kegger Bar method, joining the two sections in the middle.

I’ll work on that one in the near furture. It won’t be a full blown plan set, but a general guidline. The dimensions coul dbe extracted from both the L and Kegger plans sets.

I’m actually working on the same thing…so if anyone has any experiences with trying to combine these two plans, I’d love to hear any tips you have.

Has any one completed a combination?

I just finished my L shaped bar with the work counter, in fact it’s the bar featured once you first log in. I have a bunch of drawings that I did prior to starting to any building that I will scan & post later. I started out by building this thing in two sections, so I could move the framing down to the basement. I used some heavy duty brackets to support both the workcounter & bar top. I had to improvise when building this thing. Let me get the tape measure out and post those pictures to give everyone a better idea of what I did.
