Hi, I’m planning on building a bar that’s a combination L-shape and kegger bar. Now here’s the twist, I don’t want the L-shaped portion to be a 90 degree angle, I’m thinking more of a 45 or 30 degree angle. The part of the room I’ll be building it for is very oddly shaped and the change in angle would look fantastic there as I’d butt the one end up against the wall.

Also, do you guys have any plans that add a design in there for a hinged bar top that opens and closes for access behind it?

Any thoughts or ideas on how to easily modify the plans to change that angle and use it as a kegger as well would be great?

      Thanks!

I would also be very interested on ideas to make a hinged bar top.

I’m not exactly sure if I made myself clear as to what I mean by hinged bar top. I’m essentially talking about a flip door on the end of the bar, not being able to lift the ENTIRE bar top up, although, I can see how some people would want that.

Are there any plans I can use that already incorporates that?

Greg: I’m thinking of doing the same thing. I’m pretty much just going to use a piano hinge (heavy duty) and a little bit of a lip on the wall so it has something to connect to. Then you just add trim to match it to the rest of the bar top. I’d figure you’d need about 1/2″ or so of clearance between the flip top and the bar top.

            Hope that helps.
