I am building an L-shaped kegger and am planning on finishing it with the curved arm rest as per the following link:

My question: Notice how the end is not clean (you can see the supporting boards and gaps). On the side where the bar goes into the wall this is not a problem, but on the open side, I am not happy with how this looks. Any ideas on cleaning it up?
My current plan is to get some 1/8 or 1/4″ oak veneer, cut it to the same curved profile, and glue it on the end. However, I was wondering if there was any other standard practice way of doing this?
Thanks
