New subscriber to this site and very excited to begin constructing the L-Shaped bar (with intentions to modify – 45 angle and shorten one end).

I just finished the basement although do not have anything down on the floor yet (cement). I intend to have tile for the bar area thus should I put this down first before building the bar?? I’ve seen several photos in the gallery that suggest I should but didn’t know if this matters (or beneficial by installing the flooring beforehand).

    THANKS for any reply!

I would say to do it before. It will make your tiling job much easier, rather than having to cut all the pieces to fit around the bar. Otherwise theres really no other reason to do it before. Btw where are you in Michigan? Im in Clinton twp (20 minutes north of Detroit).

THANKS billm006 for the reply and advice. I actually milled over this since posting and decided to lay the tile first. I actually found enough on clearance at Home Depot last night so all is well.

I’m in Howell but grew up on the east side in Warren so I know your area well. Is it ever going to stop snowing??? Reminds me of my childhood!

    Cheers
