      Hey Everyone,

I’ve been meaning to post some stuff for a while; I finished the bar up last year just before the super bowl and now I’ve finally got some time to share!

I used this forum to get some ideas. Sports cards, pictures etc under the epoxy pour stuff, those sort of ideas. I experimented and found that the most adhesive materials were the easiest to work with (stickers or “things” with glued backs instead of using your own glue).

I’ve included a few pictures of the finished product. I really like the Browing logo and it worked great.

The top started with an 8′ x 4′ piece of plywood with a real nice finish on top. This was about $45 at Menards. Cut it to be flush with my bar rail and to hang off approximately 18″ on the front with the L shape using a rotor tool. Knowing I was pouring the epoxy mixture, I needed to make the lip all the way around. One problem I ran into was that on one small part of the trim, I didnt put the finishing nails close enough together and some of the mixture leaked out. Before I put the mix on though, I laid the Browning logos down and pressed them firmly to the finished side of the plywood using something like a credit card or a heavy enough tool. I waited a few hours before applying the mixture.

The most important part about laying the bar top is to remove the bubbles and the easiest way to do that is with the blow torch. I personally did NOT do this on the first layer I put because I didn’t have one. When I laid the second layer (not only due to the bar top leaking out, it still would have needed a 2nd layer), I did have a blow torch and it was slick!

This was a great project and I hope to do another one very soon!!
