With These Plans in hand My friends wanted me to build them a bar that was 14 feet long ( 10 ft Base with Two Feet of overhang at each end on the Top.. But I Jumped right in and Learned a Great deal.. Because i made the bar in my shop then I was going to have to take it to her ( she was going to do the finishing..) I decided to make it “Modular” so Many of the Sub Assemblies I glued screwed and clamped until the glue was dry. When I had completed the bar I disassembled it took it to my Friend Place ( wine bar is what they wanted) They Had Purchased some GIANT Doors from the Local San Angelo State University these doors are 44 inches wide 3 inches thick and 10’1 1/2 inch tall all done in raised panels in American walnut. I Used this as the Finished Front of the Bar she Left it up to me to design the rest so I Built in Wine racks( ten bottles) at each end of the bar, and I made my own bar Molding ( Yea I just made it on the table saw Much work but very rewarding).. I made the top with 3/4 Oak Ply but I did Not Like the Crack in the center so I cut out the Shape Of TEXAS and added a full inset (3/4 thick) solid piece of Mesquite.. I will post some Pics soon I just wanted to drop a Line and say
THANKS MUCH
Gregory.
