Hi there folks! New around here, just joined the party last night! Built a new section of deck at the end of last year and then built roofed somewhat open building on it and now want to build a bar inside of it. I love the 45 degree l shaped bar but I do not have the space for the full plan. The building structure is is 10′ X 12′ outside dimensions so in order to leave 3′ around the outside of the bar for stool travel I end up with 6’6″ X 8’6″ for the bar itself. So the 6’6″ side has to have a flap for me to get in and out and the 8’6″ side will end at a wall. So what I mean by “thin out” is I love the design but do not think I have the space to build the bar surface as thick as it is in the plans. Do you think that there would be a somewhat easy way for a novice to shave down all the dimensions a little to leave me enough room behind the bar to actually serve people?
Ok. So I went back to CHBD and tried to change the depth. Problem is with the 45″ plan the B section is not resizeable. So I could change the depth from 29″ to 24″ on section A & C but not on Section B so it is a little confusing. Maybe I am missing something.
Thanks,
John
P.S.- Just uploaded photos of space I am working with if that helps you to give me any advice.
