Trim pieces # 39, 40, 41, 42 and foot rest

I’m at the trim point in my project. In the plans, there are no instructions or diagrams for trim parts 39 through 42. Since I am puzzling over what to do with the beer gutter, I am interested in what/where 39/40 are supposed to cover.

Also – apparently the foot rest is supposed to be just exposed 2×6’s? I supposed some quarter round would fill in the crack between the footrest and the beadboard I used, but any other ideas? I would think something should be put over the rest to handle dirt and whatver from shoes, etc…?

Final trim for this project is basically your own call. See the gallery and what others have done for more ideas. There are virtually an unlimited number of ways and materials you can use for final trim.
