unknown bar top material

    In several bars I have been in, the bar top is a black material, that is hard, though it might seem like is has a little give to it. Kind of like a black leather with 1/32″ pad under it. It is textured, though not rough. I picture it like a slate texture with the small ridges. Any ideas from this horrible description. Might be like image 1202039_IMG_Small.JPG in the builders gallery

      Hmmm, that’s a good one.

      The best thing would be to go to a local Home Depot, Lowes or Menards and ask them directly. You’ll surprised at how much they can teach you about material in a short period of time.

        Your description sounds like formica countertop material. Black leather.
