Hello all, getting closer to having my bar finished. Getting time to install the walmart refer and finsh insulating. I am wondering though, anyone used the door that comes with the fridge as the actual door to the bar. It looks like a 1/2 barel will fit through the opening with the opening made to fit the fridge door. Also think the fridge door would look fine. Anyone done this or thought of it and did not, if not why??

Time to go enjoy a cold one!!!!

I am in the process of doing this right now. Didn’t use the walmart fridge though, used a similarly sized Frigidaire. Should have the door mounted by thursday, I will post details/pics then.

Hey ML! Any news on how your “fridge” door turned out? I would also like to utilize the actual door that came with mu fridge. Thanks!

Yeah it worked out great! The door is shorter than the opening needs to be to get a full sized keg in, so we put a removable piece of wood at the top and weather stripper around it to seal. Then we bent some metal all the way around the opening to let the fridge door seal to that. I will take some detailed pictures and get them posted…will respond here when I have them up.
