I am working on a completely modular approach to a custom bar plan which will have many options.
It will include straight bar sections with different features, like a keg section, wet bar section and fridge, sink & storage areas. I will propbably do the 5 in 1 game bar as a modular section too!
They will all connect with either end cap sections or several different optional corner styles, 90 degree (right angle), 45 degree and even a rounded version. I can even add a walkthrough flapper door section. Everything will fit together easily (and solidly) and you’ll be able to mix & match for a cool custom bar. This will make it easier for L shape, U shape and wrap around or irregular shapes.
Let me know if this would something you would like to see.
Cheers!
SteveYeah,
I would be very interested in your modular bars if you have a 45 degree corner solution. I want to build a bar based on your plans, but the only way it will work is on a 45 degree angle. I would like to put the kegger box in that as well. I’ll keep watching for your new plans. Thanks.

October 28, 2005 at 10:29 pm #19748How about building wine racks for storage in the basement? I would like to build wine racks to store wine in a vertical shelving grid but don’t know where to begin.
November 4, 2005 at 9:18 pm #19756Hi there from a new member in the UK!
I would really like to see (as soon as possible!!) a bar designed to be portable for using at events – something where the top comes off perhaps? These bars would not need housing for any fridges or kegs as these would be separate. It would need to be rigid and yet carryable! Ideally these would need to be 6′ long and able to bolt together to make a 12′ unit.
Oh, the other thing is that I need to build 3 x 12′ bars by December 5th!
HELP!!!!!!
November 5, 2005 at 6:33 am #19757AnonymousNo problem Phil!
I’ll have the tailgater up on the site in a few days.
I would be happy to fly across the pond to help you build the three 12 footers!
::Cheers!
December 5, 2005 at 1:27 pm #19778Hi all,
I’m in the middle of plans for a combo kegger/L shape bar. When done, I am going to add a back bar. To enclose it, I’m thinking of a top canopy (like the ones you see in old english pubs). Down lights would be fitted into the canopy and glass racks attached to it. With my bar I have plenty of room. The kegger will be 10′ long and the return bar 8′. I would have decorative pillars supporting the canopy, but as to the rest I am up for suggestions. Anyone out there got some ideas for the canopy????????
December 30, 2005 at 8:13 pm #19787Out here in California, we haven’t got basements, which I believe is the perfect spot for a home bar. I’m trying to adapt portions of various plans into something I can use in the garage when we have parties. I am trying to combine elements of the tailgater, straight, and L-shapped bar plans. I need something I can take apart and store when not in use. When it is being used, I want an L-shaped bar with a working surface. The new wet bar project looks just about right. All it needs is an “L” and to be modular.
Does this sound too complicated?
January 4, 2006 at 9:23 pm #19793AnonymousI would like to see plans for swivel bar stools.
January 12, 2006 at 4:57 am #19797would like to build the staggered wet bar — wondering if you know when prints will be available
January 17, 2006 at 11:05 pm #19799Anonymousreally looking for a 45 degree angle bar and not necessarily 8 feet long. That’s a little too big.
March 9, 2006 at 3:29 pm #19813AnonymousI think the keggar L-bar with a 45 degree angle sounds like a good project.
March 21, 2006 at 10:03 pm #19820AnonymousIve got really limited space where I am planning on building the kegger bar, but since I have such limited space I was trying to figure out how to make it shorter, but have an L shape that swings open. Sort of like a mini L bar combined with the kegger.
August 17, 2006 at 8:05 pm #19885AnonymousI’m taking all your suggestions into consideration as I approach the fall & winter 2006 “design” season. Summer’s are too short to waste behind the computer!
Remember, the Builder’s Gallery is a great place to get ideas for customizing your own bar. It’s agood ideea to look there before you start.
Cheers!

August 23, 2006 at 12:27 am #19889Hi all,
How about designing WOOD ceiling ideas that accent your bar designs? Ceiling ideas are hard to come by if you want a wooden ceiling. Dropped white ceilings and drywall seem too plain after building a beautiful bar. You’ll notice most nice pubs and bars do not use drywall or dropped ceiling tiles.
Perhaps this could be a whole new section of your website!Good luck!

That would be awesome, exactly what I was looking for.
April 15, 2007 at 9:15 am #19996You should design plans for a BBQ Grill Island. could be L-Shaped with built in grill, and possible keggerator, sink, refridgerator etc. Please give it some thought. I think it would be a great enhancement ot an outdoor bar project.
