I built a modified version using these plans. Mine is 8′ x 6′. I just shortened up eveything on the side of the plan to suit my needs. I’ll be posting pix soon. Just finished tiling and grouting the top of mine. Plumbing the sink is next.
Good morning, Steve! I guess you all must be on the mend, as I see you have updated quite a bit over the weekend.
Our bar is killer. We got the top on this weekend (not the trim yet though) and wired it with 5 outlets to accomodate a microwave, refridgerator, under cabinet lights and the rope lights.
One last question from us though… On the materials list, you had us buy 1″x2″x8′ pine for parts #41 & 42. I don’t think I see those parts included in the plans. I have a hunch where they might go, but I’m hoping that you can clarify it for us. Are they used to help hold together the top and side arm rests?
BTW, we took lots of pictures and will send them when complete. We’re going to tile our bar top, and it is a wet bar as well. We adapted the plans for a 8’x6′ bar.
Thanks for your advice on the above question!

Hello???
Hi again, Steve!
Well, we’re framed and looking good! We modified at the base to allow for a refrigerator and added some shelving too.
We’re getting ready to add the top, but I’m unclear about how to proceed on the wood that wraps around the plywood top. I looked at the straight-8 plan, but I’m still not sure how things get attached.
Do you know when you might have a chance to finish that section of the L-shaped bar plan?
Thanks!

Just saw your note re: the flu. Hope you’ll be feeling better soon.
The new plans look good and we’ll be using them when building our bar. But we know we need t oflip them, as our “l” is on the opposite side. Does this matter in terms of cutting? I assume we just make adjustments to the assembly based on the CAD drawings?
Thanks
Woo-woo! Thanks for letting me know that. I was about to order supplies and I was guessing a bit. BTW, on the old supplies list, it calls for just one piece of plywood. I guess one would have to have more than that if adding interior shelves, or a bottom etc.
I also noticed on the old plans that the extra little bits on the ends of the bar (nearest the beer gutter are shown as 4″, whereas on the straight bar from which the plans were adapted they are shown as 4.5″. Not sure if they should be the same or not.
And a cut list would be awesome!
Thanks again!
