I built my 12 footer right on the concrete basement floor. I will be tiling the floor in front of and behind the bar. I just couldn’t see any point in putting anything under a 400 pound bar.

As far as cutting a hole in the granite, I would contact a local cabinet maker, installer. They should have the tools to make the hole. They can also advise you on how to fasten the tower. My guess would be to glue in on with something like PL-500.
Keeping the lines cold is easy. Find a cardboard tube about 3-4 inches in diameter. Make sure it is strong. (like a concrete form) Punch a small hole (1/4 inch or so) in the side of the tube. After the lines have been run thru the tube and everything is ready to go, place the tip of a can of expanding foam insulation into the hole and fill. Be very careful when doing this. The foam has a tremendous expansion and can rupture the tube or squeeze off your beer supply line. I would make a second tube and practice with it before filling the tube on the kegerator. Good luck. :)

Don’t hold your breath until you get any help from this forum. I think the forum is in it’s death throes. I placed a request for help on how to install a kegerator in a 12 foot version of the 8 foot bar. No responses.
I am building a 12 foot straight bar. I have it framed and have the electrical installed. I have the work surface in place, but I am trying to decide whether I want to use a slice of a large tree trunk for the bar top or use hardwood flooring for the bar top. I don’t know how to post photos here, but if you send me your email address, I’ll send you some photos of my 12 footer.
